In 2015, Ravi partnered with Jeff Hanak (Nopa & Nopalito) to open Liholiho Yacht Club as a brick-and-mortar restaurant, which received praise from diners and critics alike including a James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant, Eater SF's “Restaurant of the Year”, and was named a “Best New Restaurant” on both GQ and Bon Appetit's annual lists. Ravi is a Food & Wine “Best New Chef” and San Francisco Magazine “Chef of the Year.” In 2019, Ravi and Hanak partnered with chef David Golavin to debut Dear Inga, a modern Eastern European-inspired restaurant in San Francisco's Mission District. Born in Hawaii to his Native Hawaiian & Chinese mother and Indian father, Ravi started Liholiho as a pop-up dinner series, combining influences from his heritage with California ingredients.
